A court of wings and ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses #3)by Sarah J. Maas

Looming war threatens all Feyre holds dear in the third volume of the #1 New York Times bestselling A Court of Thorns and Roses series.

Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin’s maneuverings and the invading king threatening to bring Prythian to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit-and one slip may spell doom not only for Feyre, but for her world as well.

As war bears down upon them all, Feyre must decide who to trust amongst the dazzling and lethal High Lords-and hunt for allies in unexpected places.

In this thrilling third book in the #1 New York Times bestselling series from Sarah J. Maas, the earth will be painted red as mighty armies grapple for power over the one thing that could destroy them all.

Just wow. It has been 12 months of waiting to find out what will happen next and now ACOWAR is here and I am still left in speechless. I have tried my hardest to leave out spoilers. As i know that there are so many people reading this at the moment and i do not want to wreak the story for anyone.

Firstly I love Sarah J Maas. From her story to the way she writes.  Maas ability to  writes such complex characters who have had some life altering events  and yet they still keep fighting for each other.

Feyre has grown so much from the first book. When we first meet her she was a hunger girls who would do anything to save her family even if it means she has to sacrifice herself.  Her self-worth was so  low, it was as if she didn’t feel she had the right to be loved. But as the story has progressed Feyre has grown not only to love and accept herself but also come to except that she is worthly of being loved, of having friends and family. Though like any great character she is flawed. She makes some sketchy calls and is continually healing. It is what not only makes her but Rhys, Lucien, Elain, Nesta, Cassian, Azriel, Mor, Amren, and even Tamlin real.

In ACOWAR Maas juggles a wide range of new and existing characters and find really creative ways to show what’s happening and how their stories all intertwine with Rhys & Feyre.

I was curious to see how Feyre would wield her new power as High Lady and how everyone would react once they found out she was a High lady. But the result was not quiet what everyone was anticipating.

The only truly bitter person besides the king is Tamlin, but really there is no surprise there. He lost the girl he loves to, well his enemy. By doing what he thought was right to get her back, he ended up destroying the final piece of the world he had been despretly holding together.

One of the hardest part of this book is know that this is meant to be the last book in the series  Which is incredible sad. But there will be spin offs from the story that we will get to read in the future. I can only hope that the feedback from ACOWAR is so incredible that Maas has no choice but to continue Rhys and Feyre’s story. Because i for one am in no way ready to say good bye.

Maas did make sure that everything was wrapped up, but at the same time she has also left doors open for the companion books .  Which much like many of the other fans of this series i will be very excited to see what happens next and how she follows on from this  book.

This is a beautiful story of love, revenge and hope. It is a amazing series and i am one that i will defiantly read again.

Happy reading
