The Rise of the Dawnstar (The Avalonia Chronicles #2)by Farah Oomerbhoy

Aurora Firedrake returns in the spellbinding sequel to The Last of the Firedrakes.
The seven kingdoms of Avalonia are crumbling and evil is spreading across the land like a plague. Queen Morgana is close to finding a way to open The Book of Abraxas and it’s only a matter of time until she uses the power trapped inside its pages to enslave the entire world.
With Avalonia growing more dangerous by the day, Aurora must travel through war-torn lands and deep into the heart of the fae kingdom of Elfi. Her goal is to find a legendary weapon infused with the last of the realm’s ancient magic—the only weapon in the world powerful enough to stop the queen.
Aurora might have survived her first battle against Morgana, but the true fight to save her kingdom and restore her throne has only just begun
Review
The Avalon is Chronicles are back and  all I can say is WOW. I have tried my hardest  not to give anything away.
The Rise of the Dawnstar, by Farah Oomerbhoy is the second book in the Avalon Chronicles. Picking up where we we left off. We dive back into a world of betrayal, love  adventure and magic. Where good and evil battle for supremacy.
Oomerbhoy’s  has built a complex world, with seven war torn kingdoms, royalty and mages working for and against each other to open the Book of Abraxas and enslave the world. There is something in this story for everyone.
Aurora is finally starting to realize her purpose in Avalonia, and  embracing her power. Though Aurora’s stubbornness does  continue to get her into trouble. It is what makes her so real and relatable. At the end of thr day she is a teenager whos whole world was turned up side down.  Aurora is now starting to realize her worth and fighting for what is right,no matter how she is treated.

Aurora’s romance with Rafe took an unexpected turn, right as it was just starting to blossom.

Then there is our new characters including her grandmother and Tristan. just to name a couple.
The Last of the Firedrakes, was a favorite book of mine and the Rise of the Dawnstar is now one too.

I am excited to see where this thrilling series is going to go next. I just  hope we dont have to wait to long for the third book.
